Terms and Conditions

Services Offered: The Modern Celebrant (referred to as “the Celebrant”) provides professional marriage celebrant services for weddings in accordance with Australian laws and regulations. Services offered may include but are not limited to:

Officiating the wedding ceremony/event

Assistance with legal paperwork and documentation required for marriage.

Solemnisation of the wedding

Booking and Payment:

To secure the Celebrant’s services for a specific date and time, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required upon booking. This deposit will be deducted from the total fee.

The remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding date.

Payment can be made via EFT. Details on invoice.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the deposit will not be refunded.

Ceremony Arrangements:

The client agrees to provide accurate information and necessary documentation required for the legal solemnisation of marriage.

Any changes to the ceremony details must be communicated to the Celebrant in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

The Celebrant is responsible for conducting the wedding ceremony according to the agreed-upon terms and within the boundaries of Australian laws and regulations.

The client is responsible for providing a suitable and safe location for the ceremony and ensuring that all legal requirements are met.

Force Majeure:

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, or any other unavoidable event, the Celebrant will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the ceremony. If rescheduling is not possible, both parties will discuss available alternatives.

Liability:

The Celebrant will not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred during the wedding ceremony.

Photography and Media:

The Celebrant may take photographs or recordings during the ceremony for promotional purposes. The client may request to limit or prohibit such documentation.

Termination:

Either party reserves the right to terminate this agreement in writing due to non-compliance with the terms outlined herein or for any other valid reason.

Governing Law:

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Acceptance of Terms:

By booking the Celebrant’s services and paying the deposit, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions in their entirety.

Changes to Terms:

The Celebrant reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes.
